The DART organization is incorporated within the State of Michigan as a non-profit, non-stock corporation as permitted under Section 501(C)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. DART began operation in February 2012 and was incorporated on May 7, 2013.

DART was established in February 2012 with the help of the Von Voigtlander Foundation. With this grant we were able to purchase a truck and equip it with an on-board generator, microwave oven, coffee pots, and GPS system as well as other essential equipment and apparel for our volunteers
